It would be a BETTER product if machined to fit more than 1 accessory

I have the Mossburg 590 from Big5 and wanted to mount my tach light with a laser. I mounted off the rail with the hope of mounting the bayonet if and when I needed it. Unfortunately, the bayonet will not lock with this rail mounted tight. If I loosen this scope mount so it slides up and down the tube ]albeit a little loose[, I can get the bayonet on easily, turn on the flashlight and go after those zombies. The quality of this is excellent and works just like I needed. I attached the light to the right side and the sling goes on the left. Real cool!
